US Second Amendment killed a 9-year-old girl born on 9/11.
In the US gun possession is sacred. After all it is permanently written in the constitution (2nd Amendment). Every citizen has the right to keep and bare arms. Yearly many influential organisations from the right side of politics throw millions against any president, political party or individual that tries to adjust the law. Even if it is to barred murderers, offenders and crazy people from getting easy access to hand guns. They just don’t seem to get it and the death counts keep rising.
On Saturday, January 8th a troubled young man named Jared Lee Loughner went all out on one Gabrielle Giffords, a congress woman, at a public event in Tucson, Arizona. She was shot in the head and a district judge was killed. Now the response will be to rethink security for public officials. But Gabrielle Giffords and public officials were not the only victims. 5 citizens died and many more were wounded during the bloodbath. This ages old American problem calls for a solution for every citizen and not only privileged individuals.
The only way forward is to change the law and impose strict rules on the arm industry. Lincoln, the 16th president and a republican hero was shot in the head while watching a play with his wife. President Kennedy was shot in front of his wife and the nation, and many more officials were slain or there were attempts. Not to mention the gun related deaths across the country. But none of these ongoing shocking events have prompt congress and presidents to change the law. So this too will go unchecked.
The minorities in the US are screaming for a change but as long as there are no whites getting gunned down on a daily basis, as long as white parents do not have to be afraid of their sons and daughters getting gunned down on their way to school or playing outside, as long as the majority of whites are not forced to live in the ghettos, I am afraid we will never see a change. We should be prepared for more slain of the people who are refusing to change the law and more deaths of individuals such as nine-year-old Christina Taylor Green, who was killed in the tragic shooting Saturday. Christina Taylor Green was born 9 years ago on 9/11 and was featured in a book called “Faces of Hope” that accounts babies born on Sept. 11, 2001. She had interest in the government and now she’s no longer with us. America I think your children deserved better.
