GIL SCOTT-HERON Poetic-Musical Legend Dies at 62

I would like to pay my respect to one of my writing inspirations Gil Scott-Heron. The poetic-musical legend that inspired many generations died on Friday 27 May at a hospital in Manhattan. You will be missed in the hearts of men and women.  Gil Scott-Heron was a musician and a poet who wrote ‘The revolution will not be televised’ and he wrote many other great songs and poems.
My favourite songs by this great artist are beside The Revolution Will Not be Televised also Save The Children, Message To The Messengers, Did You Hear What They Say?, On Coming From A Broken Home, Home Is Where The Hatred Is, Peace Go With You, Brother… you know what there’re too many to mention. Check out the titles and other equal good songs/poems by Gil Scott-Heron. He has been a great inspiration to my work and will continue to be. Gil Scott-Heron was 62 years old. The Soul Rebel Movement would like to extend its condolences to family, relatives and friends. You will be missed, revolutionary brother. Gone but not forgotten.
