28 February 2011 is your Official Birthday. We are in business.
Today we took a giant step forward in our effort to improve the welfare of individuals and to the bettering of communities. The Soul Rebel Movement Foundation is officially launched and is in business as we speak. Today, on the 28th of February 2011, the last day of Black History Month, the birthday of my daughter and the birth of The Soul Rebel Movement, will be remembered as the day I fulfilled a long-time dream. I am hopeful that we can make a great voice against injustice wherever in the world it may take place and that what we cannot change; we can inspire others to continue this great and honourable work.
We are no pioneers, neither are we heroes. This work has been done by many, we are not the first organisation and neither will we be the last that will voice concerns and fight for human dignity. Ordinary people will always commit themselves to the people and carry out the will of the people when our leaders fail or are unwilling to do so. I will perform this honourable work with all my heart and soul. The vision I intend to realise with the Soul Rebel Movement will be carried out in a positive, transparent and respectful manner, whereby all men are equal, honoured and respected.
